CLAAS has opened its new electronics development centre in Dissen, southern Lower Saxony. Chairwoman of the Supervisory Board, Cathrina Claas-Mühlhäuser, welcomed many political and business guests.

A new universal cultivator – various configurations for all requirements
At the Agritechnica HORSCH will present the new Terrano GX. The working widths range from 4 to 6 metre. It will be available as a 3- or 4-bar version with a tine spacing between 28.5 and 31.5 cm and thus combines the requirements of the customers.

A new seed drill for large farms
At the Agritechnica HORSCH presents the Serto SC – a compact seed drill with 10 and 12 metre working widths for large farms. Its characteristic features are an all-over tyre packer combined with a heavy double-disc seed coulter. Similar to the well-proven Pronto system two seed coulters run behind every tyre with a row spacing of 16.6 cm.

At the Agritechnica 2017 the new SectionControl distribution tower RowControl with single-row shut off for universal seed drills like the Pronto or the Express line will be presented.

HORSCH Leeb LT Eco – Another equipment version in the plant protection sprayer line
At the Agritechnica HORSCH presents another version of the plant protection sprayer HORSCH Leeb LT. For the LT line with a 4,000 to 6,000 litre plastic tank the ECO version will be launched in addition to the CCS (Continuous Cleaning System) and CCS Pro versions that are already available.

HORSCH Avatar SD – Direct seed drill now also available with working widths starting at 3 m
The Avatar 3 and 4 SD is a compact seed drill that is ideal for direct seeding or catch crop populations. More importantly, in cases of black grass resistance, the Avatar contributes to prevent the black grass from germinating due to the low disturbance of the seedbed when sowing with the single disc coulter.

Danish Agro köper maskinföretaget A. P. Jørgensen i Ribe
Danish Agro Machinery Holding A/S har ingått ett avtal om att ta över den stora CLAAS återförsäljaren A. P. Jørgensen på Jylland. Handlaren har funnits i 121 år och är en av Danmarks äldsta maskinföretag. Danish Agro övertar alla aktier i företaget och övertagandet sker den 1 januari 2018.

Centralt reservdelslager i Skurup klart
I våras flyttade Swedish Agro Machinery in i hyrda lokaler i Skurup. Sedan dess har lokalerna renoverats och i början av augusti stod reservdelslagret med knappt 4 000 CLAAS originaldelar klart. Detta lager kommer till viss del att förse övriga anläggningar i landet med delar när det behövs.

EU-Commissioner Phil Hogan visits CLAAS
Digitalization and climate change were the main topics during the visit of Phil Hogan, EU-Commissioner for Agricultural and Rural Development, in Harsewinkel. CLAAS Group Executive Board member Thomas Boeck informed the politician, how CLAAS equips its machinery with intelligent electronic systems and software to make farming even more efficient.
