LEXION – the second generation

CLAAS presents the second generation of the LEXION. Seven hybrid and six straw-walker models with engine outputs between 790 hp and 313 hp are available to meet all users' requirements with regard to performance and straw quality. 

With APS SYNFLOW HYBRID and APS SYNFLOW WALKER, both the hybrid and the straw-walker machines feature new threshing units which are both extremely effective and efficient. The CEMOS AUTOMATIC operator assistance system in the new LEXION provides increased functionality, automatically and intelligently controlling and optimising the machine settings. Accompanying the new armrest, CEBIS now has a touchscreen and offers more integrated functions and maximum user-friendliness. A new drive concept with fewer belt drives makes for maximum reliability and machine availability.

Efficient with new threshing units
The new APS SYNFLOW HYBRID and APS SYNFLOW WALKER threshing units provide significantly enhanced threshing and separation performance. Both systems now work with a threshing drum diameter of 755 mm and 10 rasp bars. The APS SYNFLOW WALKER features a new, additional 600 mm separator drum behind the threshing drum.

In the case of the APS SYNFLOW HYBRID, the diameter of the feeder drum has been increased to 600 mm in order to ensure an optimal crop flow for the transition to the rotors.

New grain tank options with volumes of up to 18,000 litres and unloading rates of up to 180l/s make for extended operation and powerful unloading.

Precision through advanced technology
Once again in the new LEXION, CEMOS AUTOMATIC adjusts the machine settings automatically for optimal throughput and threshing quality.

The new electronic architecture includes the FIELD SCANNER which guides the machine along the edge of the crop or the tramline under laser control. Integrated in the cab roof, it uses the signal from the automatic front attachment detection function to adjust its response in accordance with the front attachment fitted.

The new QUANTIMETER can be calibrated from the cab and measures the yield without requiring the thousand grain weight.

DYNAMIC POWER is now also available in the LEXION and adjusts the engine output flexibly in accordance with the operating conditions.

Comfortable with a new cab
The new cab design provides the operator with more space and excellent sound insulation. The new armrest is equipped with an adjustable CEBIS touchscreen terminal and a very large number of integrated functions, thereby allowing fast, intuitive operation of the machine.

Many functions, such as the speed reduction for the threshing drum or the straw chopper, can be actuated from the cab. Fast changeovers for handling a very wide range of crops are also made easier by the straightforward procedure for replacing threshing concave elements.

An increased pivot angle makes for an excellent view of the unloading tube from the cab. The grain tank is now very easy to access for tool-free adjustment of the auger baffle plates.

Almost all the new LEXION models are available with suspended TERRA TRAC crawler tracks and a 40 km/h top speed for maximum soil protection and comfort in the field and fast transport.

Reliable under all conditions
The new drive concept of the LEXION is designed for maximum reliability. It requires fewer belt drives, all the variators have been reinforced and can be connected to the central lubrication system. DYNAMIC COOLING is available for all LEXION models and provides uniform cooling while reducing the cleaning effort required for the air filter.

With REMOTE SERVICE, the operator receives optimal, immediate support to keep any downtime as low as possible.
